GlobeMed’s unique program GROW (Grassroots On-Site Work) is a powerful opportunity for students to connect directly with their partner and strengthen the relationship they build on throughout the year. Every year, 3-5 students from our chapter intern on the ground at our partnership location for 3-8 weeks. Not only do students come back with a great experience but they become ambassadors for their partner and bring that connection with the community back to the chapter in order for us to grow and become improved advocates for our partner.
This year our GROW team will be working directly on the construction of a house for orphans in the affected community. This project is important because it will provide proper housing for this vulnerable population. The housing will also provide better protection against Malaria for these orphans.
